The Open Road

For his birthday I gave my Dad a photo album of all the photos I took of our America road trip when we drove from Los Angeles to New York. This photo is one of my favourites, firstly because I love the shot but also because I feel so lucky to have been in the situation to shoot it. It was taken on the road that leads to Calico, a cheesy ‘ghost town’ roughly half way between LA and Las Vegas. It was the best car journey of my life.
